One drone can be divided into six independent UAVs
Chinese scientists have developed a new type of military drone, unlike any ever seen before.
At first glance, it resembles ordinary consumer-grade drones. However, once it reaches the target airspace, it can split into two, three, or even six smaller drones in the blink of an eye, depending on the mission at hand.
Each of these drones only has one blade, but they can move freely like a normal drone. They can exchange information with each other, each can play a specific role — some are engaged in reconnaissance, others are tracking targets, waiting for a signal to attack, analyzing data, and so on.
When a single target suddenly turns into six independent targets, it will come as a big surprise to any air defense system. And if there are initially dozens of such drones, then the situation for the opposite side becomes much more complicated.
