The plant can produce much more, but there are not enough vehicle kits

At the moment, the former Hyundai plant in St. Petersburg, which is now called the AGR Automobile Plant, assembles an average of 100 cars per day.

The details were published by Sergei Tsyganov, a well-known auto expert and host of the telegram channel «Russian Automobile»: «As component suppliers say, they were asked to cover the immediate need for sedans in the amount of 2,600 units ( of which 2100 – with automatic transmission). Creta production, surprisingly, will resume only in September: it is for this month that a new supply of Kreto body parts is planned under the contract. In June, the plant will stop for a couple of weeks for maintenance, and in July and August, as expected, the same sedans and a little Rio» will be assembled.

The insider added that the plant can produce a little more cars, since the market demand for them is very large, but the problem so far is in the Peterform body production, which can only produce 110 sets per day . In May they plan to increase production to 160 sets
