At the annual conference CIPR-2024, the Sberbank team announced a new generation of SberBox TV set-top box, which brings the functions of Sber’s smart platform «Salute TV» to regular TVs, including access to the GigaChat AI chatbot.
The company said:
SberBox 2 — This is the synergy of a new look at the design of smart devices, manufacturability and openness to users. The development took into account user feedback and added a number of improvements that will make TV watching even more convenient.
Sber's partner is responsible for the development of smart devices — SberDevices company. The set-top box has an updated hardware platform, a completely new design with a translucent body and improved equipment, including a new control panel with the ability to quickly search by sound signal if the remote control is lost.
SberBox 2 is equipped with Amlogic S905Y4 with support for 4K resolution and HDR technology, as well as 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of built-in flash memory. The added LAN connector makes it possible to connect to the Internet via cable.
Recommended retail price of the new SberBox 2 — 5490 rubles. The TV set-top box is already available in the official SberDevices online store and will gradually arrive on marketplaces and retail outlets of retailers.
