The team of the popular messenger WhatsApp is updating its privacy policy and terms of service. Users must agree to the new rules by April 11th or their account may be blocked.
The update reflects new EU requirements under the Digital Markets Act, which cover topics such as guidelines and principles for using WhatsApp, sending messages to third parties and using channels. ;
In addition, as of April 11, 2024, WhatsApp will introduce a global minimum age requirement for use, lowering it from 16 to 13 years old.
