Stellar Blade will be released on April 26, but Korean company Shift Up is already thinking about a future where it will have the opportunity to work on a sequel, according to CEO Hyung-Tae Kim.
In an interview with Famitsu, Kim was asked about the ages of the characters in Stellar Blade, who he said are all adults, but that question will likely only be answered in Stellar Blade 2, suggesting that already there is an idea for a second game.
“She’s not exactly young. Asians around the world often look younger than their actual age, and we took this into account when designing,” Kim responded when asked about the decision to make Eve and Lily so young.
“All the characters are adults, so they may be even older than you think.”
When asked if it was possible to find out the ages of the characters in the game, Kim replied:
“Perhaps it will become known in next work”, which prompted Famitsu to ask if he was talking about a sequel in the form of a new game, which prompted an even more curious response.
“Yes. So if you are worried about their age, please play the first Stellar Blade many times, have fun and find out the answer in the next game.” ” Kim replied and then laughed.
It seems that if Stellar Blade is successful, Shift Up could work on a sequel.
