UAZ turned the Patriot into an armored car: factory armor for the SUV has been developed

The weight of the armored vehicle increased – the suspension had to be strengthened

For the UAZ «Patriot» SUV a factory reservation complex has been developed — This is reported by «Autoflow» with reference to sources at the plant itself.

«The car doors are protected by stationary anti-fragmentation armor, the windows and the rear wall of the cabin — using removable armor plates», — writes «Autoflow». The car became heavier, so the suspension had to be modified: armored «Patriot» received four-leaf springs, new shock absorbers and additional springs.

Generally armored UAZ «Patriot» is not uncommon, but for the first time the vehicle will leave the factory armored. Of course, the armored «Patriot» will be noticeably more expensive than the regular version.
