Rogue Prince of Persia had a disastrous start on Steam

The new Prince of Persia came to market late because Ubisoft didn't want to fight the Hades sequel. But this approach didn’t help either.

The Rogue Prince of Persia is out in early access and will be systematically receiving new content in the coming months. The developers of Evil Empire will later release the game on various platforms, although for now fans of the series can only play on PC.

But Ubisoft can't say it's a big success. Rogue Prince of Persia on Valve's platform had only 849 concurrent players at its peak, according to SteamDB.

For comparison, the unexpectedly launched Hades 2 had 73,737 players at its peak on the first day, 103,567 at its peak, and more than 28,000 players in the last 24 hours.

Interestingly, The Rogue Prince of Persia even received good ratings – at the moment only a few editors have rated the game in Early Access, but we are talking about an average of 80%.

Reviewers appreciated the platforming, mentioned the dynamic combat and variety in the choice of equipment. But at the moment there is not much content in The Rogue Prince of Persia, as the developers plan to develop the game by taking handfuls of player feedback.
