In recent weeks, a lot of information has emerged about the possible appearance of Starfield on a Sony console, plans for the release of Indiana Jones on PS5 several months after its premiere on Game Pass, as well as speculation about Halo and Gears.
The Verge journalist Tom Warren, known for information for the Xbox community, and NatetheHate, one of the most reliable insiders, asked the Xbox community to calm down and assured that this is not the case.
They warn that many are taking advantage of the moment to jump to conclusions and assure that Microsoft Gaming will not become a third-party publisher. They comment that just because Hi-Fi Rush is being considered for PS5 and Switch, that doesn't mean the entire catalog will end up on those consoles.
NatetheHate writes:
“I want to emphasize that although I have heard something similar, it should be considered as rumors. I don't want to announce this until a release window has been determined, which means plans may change.”
“Microsoft will release several games as a multi-platform. I am sure about that. People make crazy assumptions that ALL games will be multiplatform, which is not the case. They don't even leave the industry.”
“Multi-platform strategy is a slight change to the strategy in which MULTIPLE games will be multiplatform. Microsoft will keep the most popular games as exclusives.”
Tom Warren noted that it is worth remaining calm and the release of Indiana Jones on PS5 – only a possibility, not a confirmed decision. This is just an example of the new era of Xbox, in which some games may come to PS5 later.
Phil Spencer will talk about his future Xbox next week.
