By the time the wing endurance tests are completed, there will already be more than a dozen SSJ-New
in the sky
Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute named after Professor N.E. Zhukovsky (TsAGI) announced the receipt of the wing console of the imported SJ-100 airliner. Specialists will conduct life tests of this unit.
«During the research, it is planned to obtain experimental data on the fatigue strength and operational survivability of the wing mechanization, and to confirm the design’s compliance with the requirements of aviation standards. The wing mechanization will be subjected to repeated cyclic loading to justify the assigned resource of 54,000 flights», — TsAGI told.
The experiment will start in 2025 (before that, design and survey work will be carried out, the assembly of mechanization will be completed, and attachments will be installed) and will last approximately 5 years. That is, by the time endurance tests are completed, there should be dozens of serial SJ-100s in the sky.
