Larian studio has already launched closed alpha testing of the functionality, with the beta scheduled for July

In September, Baldur's Gate 3 will receive its next major update, which will add support for modifications to the game, more evil endings, as well as many balance and technical improvements to the game.

Larian will test the new functionality within two stages of testing: the closed alpha has already started, and the beta will take place in July.

Up to 1 thousand people will be able to take part in the closed beta , who will try out modifications created by craftsmen as part of the alpha.

Initially, modifications will be available exclusively on PC, but later players on Mac, PlayStation and Xbox will be able to use the functionality.
