It became a local hit within the first hour of sales

The joint venture FAW Toyota announced the start of production in China at the Chengdu plant of the newest SUV Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 250. The photo shows the first welded body. Probably, at the moment, pilot production has been launched, but in any case, mass production will start very soon.

Pre-orders for the Land Cruiser Prado 250 began to be accepted in China on February 29, and the car instantly became a hit: in the first hour it collected more than 5,000 purchase requests. And this despite the fact that the car turned out to be not cheap — they are asking for it from 65.3 to 80 thousand dollars (in the local market the car will be offered in four trim levels — UN, ALR, ADV and LUX). Retail prices will be revealed on April 25 when the Beijing Auto Show kicks off, and these prices will almost certainly be lower than pre-order prices.
