Currently there are 70 such flights per day between Moscow and St. Petersburg
Airline «Aeroflot» is considering expanding its «Shuttle» program to other directions. CEO of Aeroflot Group Sergei Alexandrovsky said at SPIEF 2024 that the company is assessing potential areas where this project can still be implemented. According to him, it must be a market that meets certain characteristics, and such markets are few. Such destinations could be Nizhny Novgorod and Kazan.
Program «Shuttle» between Moscow and St. Petersburg was launched on June 1. The flight frequency is 70 flights per day (interval 15 — 30 minutes), a passenger can exchange a ticket for free for any other flight in this direction within a 12-hour period. The program has a number of other benefits, including priority service in the security area and the closest gate to the boarding gate.
According to Aleksandrovsky, this product is unique for the Russian market, now it is being “adjusted”, comments, complaints and suggestions from passengers are being collected. The current load on these flights is at least 85%, added the CEO of Aeroflot. The winter schedule includes «shuttles» will remain, but perhaps flights will not operate as often.
