In 2021, MTS implemented a SuperBAND solution in the network of the Moscow region

The Russian operator MTS has launched frequency resource distribution functionality using artificial intelligence technology on the mobile network in most regions of the Far East. The innovation has increased connection reliability and average mobile Internet speed. This was reported by the operator's press service.

The launch of the SuperBAND solution increased network capacity due to more efficient use of the frequency spectrum – machine learning technology builds a model for dynamic load distribution on the network and, depending on the nature of data consumption in different locations, instantly selects the least loaded frequency bands for subscribers devices.

The first regions of the Far East where this solution worked were Yakutia and the Trans-Baikal Territory. At the moment, AI-based flexible frequency distribution technology is used in many cities and towns of the Far East, with the exception of the Kamchatka Territory, Sakhalin and the Magadan Region.
