Geely Icon Butterfly (Chinese name – Linglong) will be one of the most interesting crossovers with a price starting from $13,800. Geely has announced that the new car will be unveiled in the near future. The company currently sells three Geely Icon models, ranging in price from $15,200 to $18,000.
Geely Icon — compact crossover produced by Geely since 2020 based on the Geely BMA platform, which also underlies the Geely Coolray, Proton X50, Geely Binrui and Lynk & Co 06.
Geely Icon Butterfly is equipped with hidden door handles, which is rare in this price segment, and 19-inch multi-spoke wheels. Geely is expected to release three versions of the new car in five body colors.
The front part remains the same: the radiator grille has a narrow rectangular shape with rounded corners, decorated with thick chrome decorative strips. However, the dimensions remained unchanged: 4350 x 1815 x 1620 mm and wheelbase 2640 mm.
Geely has not yet revealed official interior and powertrain specifications. For reference, the standard Geely Icon comes with a 10.25-inch LCD instrument panel, a 12.3-inch central screen and a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel. Additionally, the current model is powered by a 1.5L four-cylinder engine that produces a maximum power of 133kW and a peak torque of 290Nm, mated to a 7-speed DCT transmission. Official fuel consumption is 6.3 l/100 km.
