Agreement of intent was signed

Airline «Izhavia» intends to purchase eight MS-21 aircraft. The general director of the airline, Alexander Sinelnikov, spoke about this in his Telegram channel: «Finally, an agreement of intent was signed between JSC „Izhavia“ and PJSC „Yakovlev“ for the delivery of 8 MS-21-310 aircraft in the period 2029–2032». «Maybe earlier, but so far…», — Sinelnikov added on his blog. Now the fleet of the Udmurt airline is represented by the Yak-42D and Boeing 737-800, in total it has eight airliners.

As we already wrote, serial production of entirely domestic MS-21 aircraft will begin no earlier than 2025, and maybe even 2026, although before that the plans were for the end of 2024. Accordingly, the first deliveries of new aircraft to domestic airlines can be expected only at the end of 2025 — early 2026 On MS-21 it is still necessary to replace 36 Western-made systems with Russian analogues.
