PUBG: Battlegrounds is the only game on Steam that continues to hold the historical record for the number of simultaneously active players – all other records have fallen under the onslaught of Palworld
In its new press release, Krafton announced plans to continue expanding the PUBG: Battlegrounds franchise not only through its own efforts, but also through the involvement of third-party companies and developers.
PUBG fans should expect significantly more projects in the battle royale universe, which will definitely include many spin-offs.
It is important to remember that not long ago Krafton announced a shooter under codenamed Project Black Budget, which will be somewhat similar to Escape from Tarkov and will be released in the second half of 2024.
PUBG: Battlegrounds remains the only game on Steam still holding its record of 3,257,248 concurrent active users, after the records of games like Dota 2 and Counter-Strike 2 fell under the onslaught of Palworld.
Krafton is also going to invest more in AI and actively use artificial intelligence in the development of its projects, because this will help “not only improve production efficiency, but also provide new user-centric experiences ».
