But not all yet

Only yesterday MSI showed off its first portable gaming console without revealing any details, and today we have some details and images.

The device is called Claw, and it is the first of the announced portable consoles based on the Intel Core Ultra processor.

More precisely, the heart is a Core Ultra 7 155H with 16 processor cores and a top-end graphics core for Meteor Lake with 8 Xe cores.

Recall that tests show that such an iGPU is on average slightly faster than the Radeon 780M, although it does not offer any completely new level of performance. That is, the new MSI product should be on par with many other consoles of this format, including Asus ROG Ally or Lenovo Legion Go. However, it is still unclear how well the iGPU in Core Ultra will perform under the limited power limit in a portable console.

As for the rest, we know about 32 GB of RAM and a release in the current quarter. It is likely that the MSI Claw will be more expensive than many other similar consoles, since, firstly, Intel processors are more expensive than Ryzen APUs, and secondly, the console has 32 GB of RAM, while competitors most often have 16 GB. Whether the MSI Claw will be in demand at a significantly higher price is unclear.
