Palworld started off very loudly, the new product is actively being bought. However, to maintain the project it is necessary to invest significant sums
Palworld recently launched in Early Access on Steam. The concept of a survival game with an analogue of Pokemon became a big hit.
An important part of Palworld is the online component, i.e. Servers are required to play. As it turned out, the growing popularity came at a cost to the creators: they are forced to spend impressive sums on server support.
Judging by the statement of the head of the development studio Palworld, we are talking about an amount of about 70 million yen (or ~480 thousand dollars) per month.
One of the developers responsible for the server component of Palworld made it clear that server costs could have been lower, but they decided not to save. At current costs they can guarantee that Palworld servers will not crash.
