Production will begin in 2025
AvtoVAZ began testing plastic elements for the Lada Iskra, as reported by Avtograd News on the social network «VKontakte».
In the Production of Plastic Products, VAZ is starting to test paint plastic elements for the promising Iskra project. The start of mass production of this model is scheduled for early 2025.
Molds for the Iskra project were manufactured for AvtoVAZ in a «friendly Eastern state», they arrived at the plant in early December. It is expected that the concern will independently produce bumpers, instrument panels, door cards and other range of plastic components necessary for full production of the new model, which should start in early 2025.
Lada Iskra will be available as a sedan, hatchback and cross-hatchback with increased ground clearance. Initially, the model will be produced in parallel with the Lada Granta, but after 2026—2027 it will replace the manufacturer’s most popular model.
