The developers of the fabulous shooter Immortals of Aveum were sent on unpaid and indefinite leave

The project developed by Ascendant studio did not live up to the expectations placed on it, and the company made layoffs

Many Ascendant studio employees were sent on unpaid and indefinite leave. The information came from former Ascendant employee Chris Morness and was later confirmed by Polygon.

“Ascendant Studios has placed most of its staff on unpaid leave. I don’t know what to say, because this is even worse than being fired,” ,” Morness wrote on his page on a business social network.

Polygon confirmed the veracity of Moress's words, but could not name the exact number of workers forced to rest.

Since workers aren't technically laid off, the studio isn't obligated to compensate them.

Last year, Ascendant was forced to lay off about 40 workers after the disastrous launch of its fabulous shooter Immortals of Aveum.
