They are expected in the fall
The release of Intel Arrow Lake processors is still quite far away, but there are more and more details about them. According to new data, 21 models await us in the Arrow Lake-S desktop line.
All the names are missing, although we already saw some the other day. The line will include three models with an unlocked multiplier: Core Ultra 5 245K, which will replace the Core i5-14600K, Core Ultra 7 265K, which will replace the Core i7-14700K, as well as the top-end Core Ultra 9 285K — to replace the Core i9-14900K.
Core Ultra 5 245K will have 14 cores (6 + 8), Core Ultra 7 265K will have 20 cores (8 + 12), and Core Ultra 9 285K will offer a maximum configuration of 24 cores (8 + 16) . Let's remember that all data indicates that Arrow Lake-S will not support Hyper-Threading.
Intel has given up and is asking motherboard manufacturers to severely limit all modern Core i9 CPUs
To these three CPUs will be added five 65-watt Core Ultra models without an unlocked multiplier. The youngest of them — Core Ultra 5 — will receive 10 cores (6 + 4). Let us remind you that Core Ultra 3 will not be in the line, and instead Intel will offer the same Core i3 that are sold now, only probably under new names.
Well, the line will be complemented by 13 more models with a TDP of 35 W, which is quite unexpected. For example, in the Raptor Lake Refresh desktop line there are only six models with the T index, and this includes Core i3. Why Intel needed so many energy-efficient desktop CPUs is not very clear. Perhaps the sources are wrong here.
Recall that according to available data, the Arrow Lake-S line will operate at significantly lower frequencies than current Intel CPUs. Perhaps due to the current problem with the instability of the Core i9.
