DDR5-10600 on an inexpensive Ryzen processor. Enthusiasts set records using the brand new Ryzen 7 8700G

For such an APU, high RAM frequency is only a plus

The new AMD Ryzen 8000G processors support high-frequency DDR5 memory and are faster the faster the memory is used. It turns out that these not the most expensive APUs can be used for impressive memory overclocking.

The Asus OC overclocking team recently set a new record using the Ryzen 7 8700G and the Aorus B650 Tachyon motherboard. They managed to get the memory to work in DDR5-10346 mode.

Now the SafeDisk overclocker, using the ROG Crosshair X670E Gene board, has achieved operation in DDR5-10600 mode! This is a record for DDR5 on the AM5 platform. It was possible to install it on G.Skill Trident Z5 modules, which by default operate in DDR5-7800 mode.

What’s important is that such an impressive overclock didn’t require any extreme cooling.
