In Dota 2, you can refuse to play with allies you don't like. Valve has given paid subscribers a useful feature

Shareware Dota 2 offers several ways to support developers. We have prepared a pleasant innovation for Dota Plus owners

Not only do Dota 2 sell skins, but there is also a special Dota Plus subscription that provides access to analytics and the ability to get cosmetic items. Valve recently introduced another interesting feature.

In update 7.35d, the Dota 2 developers decided to conduct an experiment related to the matchmaking system: someone wants to get a match faster and is ready to accept possible “gap” in the skills of the participants in the match, and some want to get the most balanced composition of teams – depending on preferences, the search can take a very long time.

Valve tried to find a way out such a deadlock situation – will provide information about the match, which will allow you to make a decision on whether to accept or reject the game:

«As part of the experimental framework of the new Dota Labs program (and for now only for Dota Plus subscribers), we are releasing the first version of a feature that players have been asking us for for a long time: Dota Plus now shows information about the newly found game, such as the approximate skill spread and integrity of the players. You will have the opportunity to either accept the game or start the search again to wait for more suitable conditions.

When creating this feature, we were careful to ensure that any information we share with players allows for the expression of personal preferences, but does not provide any competitive advantage. The new feature will tell you whether the difference in skill between players is high, but not which team is stronger“.

Valve motivated The decision to require a Dota Plus subscription to access the feature was that “…there is a real risk that we may not understand correctly how players will use this feature and how it will impact the matchmaking experience. We don't want the possibility of mistakes to stop us from bringing value to millions of players, so we released this feature as an experiment. Access to Dota Plus subscribers only reduces not only the number of potential testers, but also the risk to the entire game while we monitor the new feature.”
