A remaster of the first Gothic on Unreal Engine from an enthusiast was released on Steam

The first Gothic is of some interest today. However, some would like to refresh the project – work in this area is progressing

Now a remake of the first Gothic is in development, but in the meantime, players and various enthusiasts periodically recall the original project. There is another reason to return to the cult game.

The fan project Gothic Remastered to Unreal Engine recently reached a new level. Chief programmer Dmitry Kalyuzhny spoke about the launch of open testing on Steam.

The Gothic remaster on the Unreal Engine appeared on Steam not as a separate game: to access testing of the project you need to buy the first part “Gothic” and follow the path [Steam -> Library -> Gothic 1 Classic -> Management -> Properties -> Beta versions -> enter the access key ( TheColonyisNotUnreal ) -> Select branch unrealbeta]

The developer warns that there are problems, for example there is a known glitch –  so you should use different save slots:
