The launch of serial production is planned for 2026
Defense-industrial concern «Almaz-Antey» continues to work on the E-Neva electric car project, Denis Manturov, head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, told reporters. According to him, this is not a quick process, since now «Almaz-Antey» «overloaded with basic tasks». But the launch of production of E-Neva is still planned, although it will start only in 2026, Manturov noted. They are going to produce an electric car at the former Toyota plant in St. Petersburg.
Recall that the E-Neva electric crossover was first demonstrated back in 2022. Now, before releasing it into series, it is necessary to restyle the exterior, since the car is already more than two years old, its creators believe. E-Neva will be a mid-size crossover with a length of 4.5 m, the declared power reserve — 460 km. They plan to release a pre-production version of a domestic electric car in 2025.
