Deputy General Director of GAC Motor Rus Konstantin Baishev spoke about the future new product for Russia. According to him, in October of this year the mid-size crossover GAC Emkoo (in terms of dimensions it is similar to the Nissan X-Trail) will go on sale, and it has been modified especially for Russia — added all-wheel drive.
GAC Emkoo in Russia will have two versions: basic – with front-wheel drive, a 1.5-liter turbo engine and a robot, but the more expensive versions will have a 2.0-liter engine, an 8-speed automatic transmission. and all-wheel drive. Prices, of course, have not been announced — A lot can still change before October.
In China, the 2.0-liter engine in this car produces 252 hp, but due to the presence of all-wheel drive (it may be borrowed from the flagship GAC GS8 crossover), there may be some changes .
In addition to Emkoo, GAC GS3 will appear in Russia this year.
Dimensions of this car — 4410 x 1850 x 1600 mm with a wheelbase of 2650 mm. But there will no longer be all-wheel drive, and the combination of units is traditional: a 1.5-liter turbo engine combined with a 7-speed robot.
