The Russian smartphone market showed a record sales result in units for the first time since 2020, as reported to TASS by the MTS press service.
“From January to November 2023, 27 million devices were sold in Russia, which is an increase of 28.5% and 4%, respectively, compared to the same period in 2022 and 2021. Thus, the domestic smartphone market demonstrated a record sales in units for the first time since 2020,” MTS said in a statement.
According to MTS, the market is gradually returning in its capabilities and potential to the level of 2019 after a decrease in demand due to the pandemic and the restructuring of supply chains. In addition, there is an increased marketing activity of retailers.
