Mercedes-Benz has added the 2025 GLC350e 4Matic plug-in hybrid to its lineup, which will go on sale in the United States in the second half of 2024.
Under the hood is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine paired with a 134-horsepower electric motor and a 24.8 kWh battery. The total system power is 313 hp. and 550 Nm of torque. 80% of the total output torque is instantly transferred to the electric motor.
Mercedes estimates that the crossover will be able to accelerate to 96 km/h in 6.6 seconds. The manufacturer limits the maximum speed of the GLC to 217 per hour when using an internal combustion engine, and if the car operates in electric mode, the maximum speed is 140 km/h.
The plug-in hybrid can travel up to 130 km on a single charge, but Mercedes achieved this figure under the gentle European WLTP cycle, so in reality the figure should be lower. Owners will be able to recharge the battery in approximately 30 minutes using a standard 60 kW DC charger.
Mercedes-Benz GLC350e 4Matic 2025 will be available in three trim levels: Standard, Exclusive and Pinnacle. Standard features include heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, a power liftgate, blind-spot monitoring, adaptive high-beam control and more. The Exclusive package includes a Burmester 3D Surround Sound audio system, improved ambient lighting and illuminated door sills. Pinnacle owners additionally get access to a head-up display, noise- and heat-insulating glass, and upgraded Digital Light headlights.
Interior features a 12.3-inch digital instrument screen and an 11.9-inch central infotainment display. Buyers will be able to choose from 11 exterior colors, 13 upholstery options and eight unique wheel designs.
Mercedes will announce how much the crossover will cost closer to the on-sale date. The 2023 GLC300 4Matic starts at $50,250.
