Sales will begin on February 2, 2024
Apple has released the first VisionOS 1.0.1 firmware update for the Apple Vision Pro augmented reality headset, as announced by developer Nicholas Alvarez.
It's not yet known what exactly this firmware improves, as Apple has yet to publicly release the VisionOS changelog, but the version number suggests it's a minor update with bug fixes.
Mark Gurman of Bloomberg stated that Apple began shipping Vision Pro review units to select employees after January 23, so VisionOS 1.0.1 should be available on these headsets as an immediate update out of the box. This could also be a day one update for the public if the first Vision Pro devices ship with VisionOS 1.0 installed.
Apple will likely unveil a larger VisionOS 2.0 update with new features at WWDC in June, Alvarez said.
Vision Pro sales will begin on February 2, 2024.
