Jetta VA3 sedan, VS5 and VS7 crossovers are offered
As reported by Za Rulem, Chinese Volkswagen cars under the Jetta brand have officially begun to be sold in Russia. The Chelyabinsk Auto Show, which has received an official dealership of the brand, offers the budget sedan Jetta VA3, crossovers VS5 and VS7.
Since 2022, Jetta cars have been imported into Russia through parallel imports, but now the official distributor is handling the deliveries – company «FAV – Eastern Europe». The cars themselves are produced in China at the FAW Volkswagen joint venture.
Jetta VA3 – this is an analogue of the Skoda Rapid and Volkswagen Polo. All these cars are built on the PQ25 platform. The VA3 has quite simple equipment, a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine with 112 hp. and 6-speed automatic transmission.
Jetta VS5 – this is a clone of the Skoda Karoq (it has front-wheel drive, a 1.4-liter 150-horsepower engine and a 6-speed automatic transmission). Jetta VS7 – a larger model, comparable to the Volkswagen Tiguan, but the units are the same as the VS5.
