The domestic MS-21 passenger aircraft has more than 70 kilometers of wires; it takes 15 days to install the cable network

This fact alone clearly demonstrates why large passenger aircraft cannot be produced quickly

Today, on Civil Aviation Worker’s Day, Rostec revealed an interesting detail about the Russian MS-21 airliner. It turns out that the length of the on-board cable network of this aircraft exceeds 70 kilometers — the wires of one MS-21 are enough to wrap the Third Transport Ring of Moscow twice.

At the same time, installation of the cable network in MS-21 is carried out only manually, and this is a worldwide practice.

As previously reported by the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov, six units of MS-21 should be assembled this year.
