If the parties are satisfied with how the project and sales are progressing, then starting from 2025, welding and painting of bodies will be established in Kazakhstan
Details have appeared about the project to assemble four Skoda models in Kazakhstan: Octavia, Kamiq, Karoq and Kodiaq. At the moment, the agreement between Skoda and the Allur plant involves only screwdriver assembly, but if the cooperation is fruitful and the cars sell well, then in 2025 the plant will begin welding and painting bodies.
«We plan to gradually begin production of four models in the first quarter, open dealership centers in Almaty, Astana, Karaganda and Shymkent as soon as possible, and in the second half of February officially enter the market and begin sales. Our long-term goal — achieve a market share of 5% by 2028», — noted the head of Skoda Klaus Zellmer.
Recall that earlier it became known that the first generation Kodiaq will be produced in Kazakhstan — the same one that was released in Russia.
