«Alfa Bank» I decided to start creating my own mobile operator and for this purpose I organized a separate company. A similar step has already been taken by several large banks, such as Sberbank, Tinkoff Bank, VTB and Gazprombank, which already have their own mobile operators.
The legal entity Alfa-Mobile LLC is registered on the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, where the sole founder is the joint-stock company Alfa-Bank. Andrey Litvinov was appointed general director of the new company. The authorized capital of the LLC amounted to 100 million rubles.
A bank representative confirmed to Vedomosti information on the creation of a mobile virtual operator (MVNO – Mobile Virtual Network Operator, i.e. an operator that does not have its own frequency resource and physical communication network).
According to data published in the press release of Alfa Bank, it is planned to offer customers mobile communication services under the Alfa Mobile brand. already in the second half of 2024.
Thus, «Alfa Bank» joins other large banks offering their customers not only financial services, but also mobile communications through their own operators.
Previously «Alfa-Bank» filed an application with the Chinese Patent Office to register a new trademark, and also showed the Chinese version of its logo.
