General Director of LLC «Zetta» A.N Lee stated that the project of the Russian Zetta car continues to exist. At the moment there is a reorganization of processes, production and replacement of the component base.
He clarified that the building in which the production of LLC «Zetta» never belonged to the company, but was leased, so the company could not sell it. He also denied information about the sale of equipment.
Unfortunately, he did not comment on the information that the Togliatti prosecutor's office opened a criminal case under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation «Fraud on an especially large scale» after checking LLC «Zetta». The developers were allocated over 284 million rubles, but the work was not completed on time. The scope of work execution ranged from 21% to 47%.
Recall that the two-seater Zetta electric car with an overall length of three meters was developed in 2018-2020. It was equipped with one electric motor and front-wheel drive. The range on one full charge reached 180 km. Small-scale production was planned to begin in 2020, and they wanted to certify the car according to class L7 — heavy quadricycles with car controls. This would allow permission to be released without checking security systems.
