The famous strategy game franchise is heading to a new platform with Age of Empires Mobile, and warning signs are already visible
Microsoft presented a gameplay trailer for Age of Empires Mobile, a new project based on the famous franchise. The developer is Timi Studio Group (a subsidiary of the Chinese Tencent).
The change of format does not change much the spirit of the game: in Age of Empires Mobile you have to control troops in real time. However, when watching the trailer, you can see some warning signs. At 0:40, the hero’s interface with the “deck” is shown: they have levels, as well as stars (in gacha games, this usually means the rarity of the characters)
Launch of Age of Empires Mobile is expected in 2024, a page has appeared in the App Store and Google Play.
In the App Store in the game description there is a clarification on the number of heroes, there will be 40+ pieces:
