The cost can vary from 99 rubles to 100 thousand rubles monthly
The team of «Zen», now owned by VK (formerly Mail.ru Group), announced the launch of beta testing of a new service for authors — premium subscriptions. As the company explains, the tool will allow content creators to provide access to exclusive publications and earn money from it, and users — watch materials first and without advertising. Subscription monetization will be available for articles, long videos and clips.
At the first stage, the tool will be available to a limited number of authors. The blogger will be able to publish articles, videos and videos «behind the paywall» — for the full version, the service will ask users to pay for monthly access. The author will also be able to indicate the cost of a monthly subscription to his exclusive content: from 99 rubles to 100 thousand rubles.
As part of beta testing in «Author's Studio» a special section will appear — in it you can see not only the number of paid subscribers, but also a forecast of expected income. In the near future, it will feature expanded analytics: sales funnel, dynamics, as well as audience analysis of paid subscribers.
Users with a subscription will be able to regularly support their favorite authors, be the first to access closed publications, and also watch content without advertising in a special section on bloggers’ channels. The service with a paid subscription will soon become available on the desktop version of «Zen», and then will appear in the mobile version.
