As part of the Zhiguli Mile speed festival
7 February in Togliatti the Zhigulevskaya Mile festival starts, during which AvtoVAZ will present a line of its sports cars. According to Quto.ru, a pre-production copy of the Lada Vesta Sport station wagon will be shown at the event.
Distance «Zhiguli Mile» will be equal to the length of the AvtoVAZ conveyor – 1433 meters. But there will also be a second route 1642 meters long, equal to the depth of Lake Baikal. So it may very well be that the records shown within the framework of the «Baikal Mile» last year, will be beaten.
Granta Sport and the pre-production Vesta Sport station wagon will take part in the races – it should be much more powerful than the 118-horsepower Vesta Sportline. On the «Baikal Mile» Last year, the Lada Sport prototype accelerated to a speed of 175 km/h, it will be interesting to see what result the pre-production car can produce.
Another new product of the event will be the updated Niva Sport T2 SUV, prepared for rally raids.
