It is exactly the same as used before
MSI unexpectedly presented a video card, the likes of which we have not seen for more than 10 years.
The new product is called GeForce RTX 4060 Cyclone 8G OC and is equipped with a cooling system, which we saw on cards of the same name in the GTX 400/500/600 generations. Apparently, the last or one of the last such cards was the GTX 650 Ti. After that, MSI concentrated on the more common today COs with closed heatsinks.
Why the company decided to suddenly revive this line, and with exactly the same cooler, is unclear. Perhaps just for variety, because many video cards today, especially in the lower segments, look too monotonous. At the same time, the RTX 4060 consumes very little power, so it doesn’t really need any kind of dimensional CO.
