Workers are offered three salaries

At the former Volkswagen car plant in Kaluga, staff are being cut, as reported by the insider Telegram channel “Avtopotok”.

The ASM trade union reported that workers, subject to submitting a letter of resignation from November 27-30, are provided with three salaries, and debts on subsidies for real estate and cars are written off. Downtime at the plant is extended until February 29, 2024.

Previously, the new management of the Kaluga automobile plant extended the downtime until November 30, 2023. In July, Volkswagen completed the process of selling its Russian assets to a local investor represented by Art Finance LLC, which is supported by the Avilon dealer.

The Telegram channel “Autopotok” was the first to report that GAZelle NN and Sobol NN will receive ESP, spoke about the new version of Sobol NN, improvements to the Lada Niva Travel and Niva Legend, and the transfer of the Russian Volvo plant to a private investor.
