MSI unveiled its top-of-the-line Z790 Project Zero motherboard at CES 2024 earlier this year, and it's now on sale in China. The peculiarity of this model, let us remind you, is that the connectors are located on the reverse side, which gives a very beautiful view of the system inside the case. The MSI Z790 Project Zero cost $360.
MSI Z790 Project Zero received a 6-layer printed circuit board and a power subsystem implemented according to the «14+1+1 phase» scheme. Slots for DDR5-7200+ MHz RAM modules — four, maximum RAM — 256 GB.
Four M.2 ports are provided for SSD installation (M2 Frost Armor coolers included). Also included is a module that implements Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 wireless interfaces. There are two slots for installing video cards: one is connected to 16 lines of the PCIe 5.0 bus, the other — to 16 PCIe 4.0 bus lines.
