This is 56% more than a year earlier
Cui Dongshu, Secretary General of the China Passenger Car Association, today issued a statement on the export of cars from China to other countries in the world.
Customs data shows that China's automobile exports from January to November 2023 totaled 4.76 million units, with an export growth rate of 56%. He added that if the world situation was calm, exports of Chinese cars would exceed 5.2 million units for the entire year. But even with a result of 4.76 million units, China showed very high growth rates.
Cui Dongshu noted that for a long time, cars were considered a symbol of industrial power. The industrial powers of the world, the United States, Japan and Germany, are powerful countries in the automobile industry. But today China has already become the largest exporter of cars in the world, and the future potential, according to the China Passenger Car Association, is even greater. The export of Chinese brands has entered a new stage associated with the development of new energy and the growing popularity of vehicles powered by new energy sources.
After the sharp global economic downturn in 2013–2016, China's machinery exports gradually stabilized and improved between 2017 and 2020, with annual export volume remaining at around 1 million units. Exports in 2020 reached 1.08 million units, in 2021 deliveries increased to 2.187 million units, and in 2022 they amounted to 3.4 million vehicles.
