Apple rejected Samsung's proposal, considering its iPhone displays too expensive

Apple is now negotiating with BOE

Samsung Display offered to supply Apple with panels for the iPhone SE 4 for $30 each. But Apple considered this price too high and, as gizmochina writes, rejected the offer.

As a result, Samsung withdrew from the negotiation process. The Cupertino company is reportedly looking for a more cost-effective option at $25 per panel. At the same time, Apple is negotiating with the Chinese manufacturer  BOE to meet its display production needs. Apple's desire to save costs on its budget iPhone SE line is understandable, since displays are among the most expensive components of smartphones.

In addition, the iPhone SE 4 is expected to be equipped with Face ID, an improved 48 MP main camera and a faster platform. However, changing display suppliers could potentially impact production schedules or the final retail price of the device.
