Beta testing will begin soon
Samsung Electronics has introduced a new Wear OS-based One UI 6 Watch platform for its Galaxy Watch line of smartwatches. In addition to the core Wear OS 5 features that Google showed off at a recent event, the One UI 6 Watch platform offers additional health features powered by Galaxy AI.
Using activity and health data in Samsung Health, users will have access to personalized health tips and motivational support.
For example, Energy Score will help you assess your daily condition. This feature takes into account several aspects of your health and daily routine, including average sleep time, bedtime and wake time consistency, HRV (Heart Rate Variability), previous day's activity, sleep duration consistency, and sleep heart rate. Based on all this data, the user is given advice on whether it is safe to exercise that day.
Sleep Insights offers a more accurate and detailed analysis of your sleep quality. There are useful new features for runners and cyclists, including a Race feature that lets you compare your current workout with past records. Function «Training program» allows you to individually combine different exercises with their automatic tracking.
Samsung has promised to release the One UI 6 Watch update towards the end of the year for all Galaxy Watches running Wear OS:

- Galaxy Watch 4 Classic
- Galaxy Watch 5
- Galaxy Watch 5 Pro
- Galaxy Watch 6
- Galaxy Watch 6 Classic
Starting June, a beta testing program will be launched in a number of regions. Users in South Korea and the USA will be the first to have access to it. It is expected that the first watch with One UI 6 Watch installed «out of the box» will be the Galaxy Watch 7, set to debut at the Galaxy Unpacked event in July 2024.
