The new product, designated by catalog number WD240FKGX, is intended for all-weather multi-user commercial/enterprise class NAS systems. The hard drive has a 5-year warranty, stated time between failures (MTBF) — 2.5 million hours
The spindle speed WD240FKGX is 7200 rpm, the volume of OptiNAND cache memory — 512 MB. Compared to a 22 TB drive, it was possible to increase the data transfer speed from 265 MB/s to 287 MB/s.
