A few hours ago the Russian game «Smuta» was released. The situation with reviews from journalists is not yet clear, but at least one of them has already appeared on the Internet. The authors of the gaming portal Rambler.ru received the game a little more than a day before the release and published, apparently, the first big review on the RuNet.
The game does not have a final rating, since the author, according to his own assessment, only managed to complete about half of the game. However, he adds that he is not going to finish the game, because it turned out mediocre.
There is no point in maintaining intrigue — «Troubles» it didn't work out. Generally.
To begin with, it is worth noting that the author praised the visual component of the game, and from the screenshots and even the beta version it was noticeable that the project looks really good. But otherwise there are many problems.
The author notes that 80% of the game — this is walking, and another 10% — dialogues. You need to walk around the world a lot, but the process turned out to be boring. The battles turned out to be monotonous, but there are already very few of them.
The optimization of the game is poor. In a number of locations on the RTX 4070 Ti everything works just fine, delivering about 100 fps, while in others the figures drop to 20 –35 fps. Let us remind you that the game was created on Unreal Engine 5.
As a result, the author attributed the following to the disadvantages:
- terrible and broken battles;
- illogical and broken stealth;
- there is a lot of idle talk in the dialogues;
- bómost of the time you just walk;
- the world is completely sterile and non-interactive.
Updated: There are several more reviews that also say that the game is far from ideal. The author of Cyber Sports claims that players have never seen such dull gameplay, and on the Championat website the review came out with the headline that «Trouble» will disappoint even the biggest fans.
