Since April 1, the threshold for duty-free purchases in Russia has decreased 5 times: previously it was 1000 euros, but now — 200. It was logical to expect an increase in the price of equipment, and it happened: marketplaces began to indicate separately the cost of customs duties — the amount that must be paid in excess of the cost of the goods.
The new requirements apply to goods priced over 200 euros that are delivered from abroad. The price increase was approximately 15% — this is the amount of duty in cases where the price of the product exceeds the threshold of 200 euros. 15% of the amount exceeding the threshold is calculated. For example, if a laptop costs 1000 euros, then 15% is calculated from 800 euros.
