The Valdai 45 truck manufactured in Nizhny Novgorod is a competitor to the mainline flagship KAMAZ-54901, but only in terms of characteristics. But in terms of sales, there is no competition.
According to «Autostat-Info», since the beginning of the current year (i.e. for 5 months) sales of «Valdai 45» amounted to only 81 units. For example, 22 cars were purchased in May. For comparison, 1,433 units of KAMAZ-5490 were sold in Russia during the same period.
Nevertheless, in June sales «Valdai 45» will increase: a batch of 55 new trucks will be delivered to the CEMROS company. The vehicles will be used to deliver cement to factories and transshipment points.
