The price will be about 140,000 dollars
BYD announced that on February 25 the company will finally release its YangWang U9 supercar. It can accelerate to 100 km/h in less than 2 seconds, jump, perform a tank turn and ride on three wheels thanks to the DiSus-X body control system.
YangWang U9 is equipped with four electric motors rated at 240 kW each, for a total output of 960 kW (1287 hp). Maximum speed is limited to 300 km/h.
U9 — two-door coupe on the new e4 platform. Its dimensions are 4966 x 2029 x 1295 mm, and the wheelbase is 2900 mm. Length corresponds to Audi A4 or BMW 5 Series. The EV comes with an optional carbon fiber rear spoiler. The car is equipped with wheels measuring 275/35 R21 (front) and 325/30 R21 (rear). The car has scissor doors and, judging by the photos from the showroom, a fairly large trunk.
Recall that according to the manufacturer, the car is capable of driving about 700 km on a single charge. Presenting the electric supercar in China, the developers showed how it drives onto the stage, swaying from side to side and changing the suspension height independently on different wheels. They also showed how the sports car bounces, lifting all four wheels off the stage. It can also move on three wheels. The innovative suspension system adjusts the ground clearance so that the body does not touch the road surface. BYD notes that the system can also be used to reduce body roll, minimize the risk of rollover, and assist with hard acceleration and emergency braking.
During the presentation, BYD announced that the price of the new product will be about 140 thousand dollars.
