The Chinese Land Cruiser Prado 250 turned out to be almost twice as expensive as the Japanese one and 6 thousand dollars more expensive than the American one
Today in China there was a full premiere of the newest SUV Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 250 and today they announced the most important — retail prices. Alas, they are very tall. This means that in Russia the Land Cruiser Prado 250 will be much more expensive than the Land Cruiser Prado 150 and, perhaps, even more expensive than the Land Cruiser 300.
The basic 5-seater Land Cruiser Prado 250 Travel BX in China was priced at $63.5 thousand. For comparison: in Japan the basic Land Cruiser 250 costs 33.7 thousand dollars, in the USA — 57.3 thousand dollars.
Prices for the remaining configurations of the Chinese Land Cruiser Prado 250 look like this: All-round TX (with 5 or 6 seats) — 71.7 thousand dollars, Hanye WX (6 seats) — 75.9 thousand dollars. Interestingly, the 6-seater option is only available in China: in Japan, the SUV has 5 or 7 seats, in the USA — strictly 5.
The Chinese Land Cruiser Prado 250 has all-wheel drive as standard (with a Torsen center differential and a low-range transmission), but only the top versions have a rear differential lock.
The SUV, let us remind you, is built on the TNGA-F platform, its dimensions — 4945 × 1980 × 1920 mm, wheelbase — 2850 mm. The approach and departure angles are 31 and 22, ground clearance — 221 mm. Power plant — only one, hybrid. It is built on the basis of a 2.4-liter T24A-FTS turbo engine, complemented by an electric motor and an 8-speed automatic transmission. System power is 330 hp, peak torque — 630 N·m.
