BAIC BJ40 is available at Avtotor
The BAIC BJ40 SUV, available on the Russian market since last summer, will be released in Russia in the spring in a version with a diesel engine, as reported by the press service of the Chinese brand.
BAIC also announced the launch of another SUV model – BJ60 – on the Russian market. Sales will begin this summer.
The BAIC BJ40 is expected to have a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine producing 163 horsepower and will be equipped with an automatic transmission as well as all-wheel drive. Currently, the model is offered in Russia with a 2.0-liter gasoline engine with a power of 225 hp, an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
As for the BJ60, it was updated in November 2023, receiving a new front end design and a hybrid system based on a 1.5-liter turbo engine. The new version of the BJ60 will have a 2.0-liter engine with 266 horsepower, as well as an eight-speed automatic transmission.
